Professor Quan Gu shared his research on "Seismic Analysis of Geotechnical and Structural Systems Based on OpenSees" today.
Professor Gu Quan is the head of the Department of Civil Engineering, School of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Xiamen University. His research interests include nonlinear seismic dynamic analysis of high-rise buildings and Bridges, finite element, near-field dynamics and discrete element simulation methods, problems of high-speed rail vehicle track coupling systems, sand liquefaction mechanism and soil-junction interaction. Structural sensitivity, reliability and optimisation analysis, development of finite element OpenSees research platform.
